I can’t stop thinking about the kiss.

More than a whole day has passed, a whole day of Dec and I working together on the beach house without any issues or any sexual tension, but I still can’t get the touch of his lips on mine out of my head.

I think about the kiss when I paint the outside of the house. Dec leaning in close towards me as we lie in bed clouds my mind with every stroke of my paintbrush. The way I think of how he pressed into me under the bedsheets makes me blush even now.

The confidence he had to fly in close and raise his lips to mine.

The tenderness of his touch as he traced his finger up and down my body under the sheets.

Yesterday, on our first day on the project, Dec went around the house, checking it all out. Measuring things with a tape measure. He looked like a pro as he did so, a pen behind his ear. So cool and collected. So Dec.

He still wasn’t wearing a shirt, but hey, that’s also so Dec. I’ve come to realize it’s his trademark style.

And I ain’t complaining.

I watched him with deep satisfaction as he sized up the house yesterday. I like the way he works. That quiet drive of his. The way his eyes scan over everything in careful consideration, not missing a single thing. He’s in his element when determining what to do about the house. A man at work. A man doing his job well is an incredibly sexy thing to witness.

Jen was right, he really must be the best in town at this. No wonder he’s had all the girls going ga-ga for him over the years.

I had to stop myself multiple times from devouring him.

That was yesterday. Today he’s back to work on the sink, making sure that it’s all fixed. He delegated me outside, to work on painting the front of the house. I hate that I can’t watch him work. I feel like he’s put me out here just for something for me to do, but I would happily just sit in the kitchen and stare at his perfect ass all day instead.

Yep, that kiss yesterday is driving me mad.

It was mad of me to refuse his advances, but it was the right thing to do.

The sun is glaring down on me as I paint outside. It’s hot. Too hot. I check the time on my phone. Midday.

Time for a break.

I wander indoors and head straight for the kitchen. Just as I expect, Dec’s cute ass is in the air as he burrows under the sink.

Yummy.

I clear my throat to get his attention. He pulls himself out.

“It’s lunchtime,” I say. “And I’m building up a sweat. I’m going to pour myself a glass of juice if you’d like some.”

Dec wipes his brow. Like me, he is also drenched in his own sweat. God, he looks so sexy like that. It’s like he’s all oiled up. His muscles bulge. He’s so goddamn manly.
